Omaha Health & Fitness Club of Cherokee Village

About the Omaha Health & Fitness Club

In the spring and summer of 1998, a few residents of Cherokee Village, Arkansas joined together with the shared interest of establishing a reasonably priced and a clean place to exercise.

By September 1998, space was found at Omaha Center, and the equipment was purchased with prepaid membership funds. The future exercise room, showers and bathrooms were cleaned and painted by the charter members. By the fall of 1998, Omaha Health & Fitness Club was opened for use. Within the following two to three years, the membership climbed to 50+ members.

In February 2003, a reorganization meeting was held to elect officers. The club continues to grow each year; and, as of 2006, the membership has climbed to over 200 members. The club has grown not only in terms of membership, but also in the type and quality of equipment and activities offered.

The membership of Omaha Health & Fitness Club is very appreciative of the efforts of the charter members for establishing and maintaining the club. The growth and success of the club is a direct result of the dedication of our charter members and the member volunteers who are actively involved in the operation of the fitness center.

The benefits of exercise are well known. Please consider joining us for a better and longer life. You can click here for membership information and rates.
